The University of Michigan has negotiated pricing for many commercial devices used in research. This article provides the process to check current negotiated prices. 

 

Considerations

  • Vendors regularly release new models and update continuing models. Devices used for grant budgets may not be available when it is time to purchase devices.
  • Device models, even from the same vendor, may not have comparable sensor technology. 
  • While U-M may have negotiated pricing retail websites sometimes have lower prices. However, they may also have limits on the quantity that can be purchased.
  • Some study management system vendors offer devices with delivery to participants as an additional service.  

 

Check Device Prices

  • Go to: Wolverine Access 

    • Requires Level 1 login.

  • Enter M-Marketsite in the search field

  • Click on the M-Marketsite box

  • Click the link that says, Continue to M-Marketsite (Browse Only)
    • If you get an error, change browsers. Chrome is typically reliable.  
  • From the M-Marketsite home screen

    • Go to the box titled: Search/Shop Hosted Catalogs

      • Select Simple (immediately under the section header)

    • Scroll down to the Office Supplies/computer Section

    • Select one of the following suppliers

 

                     

From there, search for the specific devices to see prices

 

 

 

To Purchase Devices
