Add Students to a GradeCraft Site

Ready to let the students see the course? Follow this guide to add them individually or in bulk.

 

 

Add Users Individually

1. Click “Students” under "Users" from the left hand side menu
2. Click “+ New Student” on the top right corner
3. Fill in the user’s information.
4. A welcome and activation email will automatically be sent to the new user. 

Note: This email is important for students to be able to access their accounts. They will not be able to log in without first activating their account. You may wish to have students check to make sure the email does not get caught by a spam filter, or that your institution allows students to receive email from us. If they or you are still having problems, contact help@gradecraft.com and we can help!

 

Add Users in Bulk

To add multiple users at once, you may import a CSV file with their information to achieve this. When creating your CSV, make sure you have the following header information in order OR download this template.

• First name
• Last name
• Username (this can be their email account)
• Email
• Team name (if you are using sections, this will automatically put a student into a section)

Note: Please verify your file's format before uploading. The file must be in a .CSV (comma delimited) file format. 

Once you have your CSV ready, you may head to GradeCraft to upload it:

1. Click “Students” under "Users" from the left hand side menu
2. Click “Import Users” on the top right corner
3. Select and attach the CSV file
4. A welcome and activation email will automatically be sent to the new user.
