Settings - Publishing Options

Settings can be used to tweak student studying experiences, enable or disable certain features, and control the publishing of your course. These are organized into the categories of General, Publishing, Question, Feedback, and Student Dashboard Options

1. Go to your course’s Admin Console from the dropdown menu in the top right

2. Go to the Settings tab

Publishing Options

• Course is visible to students: 

  • By default, this option is unchecked

  • Check this box when you’re ready for students to see your content

• Only instructors can publish new or modified content:

  • By default, this option is unchecked

  • This limits the ability of “Helpers” and “Assistants” (more here (permission levels)) - they can add and edit content, but only “Instructors” can publish it

• Enable the “Name that Topic” study mode:

  • By default, this option is unchecked

  • If checked, students select what topic a question belongs to rather than an answer to the question

• Only enrolled students can access this course:

  • By default, this option is unchecked

  • Students may choose to study problems in courses they aren’t enrolled in - if you don’t want this for your course, check this
