Creating Practice Exams

Practice exams help students study content in a setting with constraints that more closely match those of a test. We recommend that your practice exam parameters match those of your actual exams as closely as possible. The ones created by instructors are visible to the whole course, while those created by students are only visible to them.

Creating a Practice Exam

1. Go to your course’s Admin Console from the dropdown menu in the top right

2. Go to the Practice Exams tab

3. Click the “Create Practice Exam Template” button

Required - 

• Practice Exam Name

• Duration: We recommend setting this to however long your real exams are

 

There are two ways to select questions:

• By choosing a question set in order to have preselected questions for every exam

• By choosing topics with a specific number of questions randomly selected from each for every instance of the test

With a Question Set:

• Select the question set the dropdown menu under the duration text field

With Topics:

• Topic: select the topic from the dropdown menu

Number of questions for this topic: we recommend setting this to however many there will be on that topic on the actual exam
