What steps should prospective undergraduate students take when applying for financial aid?
We encourage all prospective undergraduate students to consider financial aid opportunities at the University of Michigan. To be considered for all types of funding:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid​ (FAFSA) to be considered for federal aid. (Note that students beginning in the spring or summer term will need to complete two FAFSAs: the current year and the coming year)
- Complete the CSS Profile to be considered for University of Michigan need-based grant aid.
