How will I know if all of my materials were received by the Early Decision (ED) or Early Action (EA) deadline?
Your ED/EA status will display on Enrollment Connect under the Messages menu. When your ED/EA status has been updated, an email notification will be sent from michigan.admissions@umich.edu to the email address you provided on your application. Please keep in mind that it can take up to 10 days to process materials submitted on or just before the Nov. 1 deadline. Therefore, applicants who requested to be reviewed during ED/EA who did not qualify due to missing materials may not be notified until mid-November.
If you believe our office has made an error regarding your ED/EA qualification, please inform us of the specific circumstances by selecting "Early Decision Status" or "Early Action Status" under the Messages menu of Enrollment Connect and following the ensuing directions to request an ED/EA exception. Applicants cannot submit an ED/EA exception request until they have been notified by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions that they did not qualify for early decision or early action consideration.
Applicants who indicated they were requesting ED/EA consideration and who did not submit all required materials in advance of the deadline will be moved into our Regular Decision pool of candidates for consideration.
