Go Blue Guarantee for Michigan Residents

What is the Go Blue Guarantee?

The Go Blue Guarantee is U-M's commitment to cover undergraduate tuition and mandatory university fees for up to four years for students who:

• are eligible for in-state tuition
• are eligible to apply for financial aid
• have family incomes of $125,000 or less and assets below $125,000
• are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree

Income and assets are verified each academic year during the aid application process and the guarantee requires students to apply for financial aid. The guarantee is for fall/winter terms.

You do not have to apply specifically for the Go Blue Guarantee. It is automatically awarded to qualified Michigan residents who:

1. Apply to U-M
2. Get admitted, and
3. Apply for financial aid by submitting the FAFSA and CSS Profile by Nov. 15 (Early Decision applicants only) or March 1 (Early Action and Regular Decision applicants)
