Does U-M offer interviews as part of the application process?
Interviews are only part of the admissions process for the following:
- Dental Hygiene: Qualified applicants are required to participate in an interview, which provides the admissions committee with an opportunity to assess communication skills, professionalism, motivation for the profession, and overall readiness for success in the Dental Hygiene Program.
- School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD): If you are applying to SMTD, an interview may be required during your audition, depending on your area of study. Visit SMTD's Undergraduate Audition & Interview Dates website for more information.
- Marsal Family School of Education: Applicants will submit an asynchronous video interview as part of their application for both the Educator Preparation Program (EPP) and Learning, Equity, and Problem Solving for the Public Good (LEAPS).
For all other programs, if you have submitted all of the required application materials, you will have given us enough information on which to base a decision and interviews are not offered.
