Who do I contact about applying for a student admissions job within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions?
Many undergraduate students choose to work in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Some are interested in a career in higher education and are seeking on-the-job experience. Others are having such a great experience on campus that they want to share it with others — often, they become some of our most passionate counselors who stay on after graduation and start their professional lives with U-M. And there are many who simply want to give something back to a place that has made a big difference in their lives.
Work-study Students: Work-study students help with clerical tasks, data entry, filing, and stock keeping. View U-M work-study openings on the Student Employment Office website.
Tour Guides: Tour guides show prospective students around Central Campus, answer questions about student life, and share their personal experiences at Michigan. We anticipate the tour guide application for our next hiring cycle will open during the fall semester. Please fill out the interest form in order to be added to our email list and receive the link to the application when it opens. A few tour guides serve as front desk assistants at the Huetwell Visitors Center. Once hired as a guide, you may inquire if interested. Campus Day Leaders: Campus Day is a program where admitted students get to experience the University of Michigan before making their final college choice. You can help others decide to choose U-M by becoming a Campus Day Leader! Responsibilities include participating in student and parent panels, giving campus tours, and providing excellent customer service. Campus Day hiring takes place every September.
