Transfer Credit Appeal Process

I did not receive credit for courses that I took at another college/university, but I think I should have. What is the appeal process for transfer credit?

Transfer credit is given following the guidelines and rules of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). Each student's academic record (i.e., transcript) is looked at separately because each student will have different factors involved in their evaluation (courses they have already taken, different academic majors and minors, different AP or IB test scores, etc.). Each of these factors is applied to each individual student as they are interpreted by the Credit Evaluators using the guidelines and rules.

If you do not agree with your credit evaluation for any reason, you can discuss this with your Academic Advisor. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions does not decide if a particular course satisfies LSA requirements.
