I'm a first-year student; can I have a car on campus?
There is no campus parking available for first-year students or sophomores and very limited parking available for upperclass and graduate students.
However, students who commute to campus have the option of either finding metered city parking or parking in one of the five commuter lots and taking a free city bus to campus. U-M also has its own free bus system that is available to transport students between South, Central, North, and Medical Campuses.
