Late Applications or Materials

What do I do if I missed a deadline, but would still like to submit an application or materials to complete my application?

Consideration for applicants who submit required materials after the application deadline is not guaranteed, and applications will be reviewed on a space-available basis. If there are no longer spaces available, your application fee will not be returned to you, and your application will not be processed. You may call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 734-764-7433 to inquire if the school or college to which you are interested in applying is still accepting applications.

Each late application and/or late material request will be reviewed and approved or denied on a case-by-case basis; supporting documentation may be requested or required for substantiation.

During these incredibly challenging times, as Southern California has faced devastating fires, our thoughts are with all those affected. As we approach the University of Michigan Regular Decision deadline of Feb. 1, we know that meeting this deadline could be a challenge for you and want you to know we are here to provide support and assistance. Students who have been impacted by the fires are asked to submit their application and supporting materials as soon as they are able. If you have any questions, please contact us at critical-incidents@umich.edu.

If you were not able to submit your application materials by the Nov. 1 Early Action deadline, we would encourage you to submit them for the Regular Decision notification plan as soon as possible.
