Dual-degree Applications

Can I apply to more than one school or college at a time?

First-year applicants to the School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Stamps School of Art & Design, and the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning can elect to apply as a dual-degree applicant to two different schools. As a dual-degree applicant, you will receive separate admission decisions from both schools/colleges to which you apply. You can be admitted into both schools/colleges or just one. The following dual-degree application options are available:

  • School of Music, Theatre & Dance - College of Engineering
  • School of Music, Theatre & Dance - College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA)
  • Stamps School of Art & Design - College of Engineering
  • Stamps School of Art & Design - School of Kinesiology
  • Stamps School of Art & Design - College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA)
  • Stamps School of Art & Design - Residential College
  • Stamps School of Art & Design - School of Music, Theatre & Dance
  • Stamps School of Art & Design - School of Nursing
  • Stamps School of Art & Design - Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning
  • Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning - College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA)
  • Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning - College of Engineering
  • Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning - School of Art & Design

You cannot elect the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, Marsal Family School of Education, School of Information, nor College of Pharmacy as one of your dual-degree schools, but you can apply for preferred admission.  To learn more, view our Preferred Admission knowledge base answer.

If you are admitted into both schools/colleges to which you have applied, you should pay only one $300 enrollment deposit. However, you will need to fill out a form on Enrollment Connect to accept or decline your admission to the second school/college.
