Do I need to have a health check or immunizations before attending U-M?
Vaccinations are not required by the University of Michigan. There is also no U-M requirement for a physical exam.
However, all U-M students residing in Michigan Housing on the Ann Arbor and Marygrove campuses are required to submit their vaccination records via Vax Viewer per the University of Michigan Vaccination Policy. U-M students who are not fully vaccinated must still submit their information in the U-M Vaccination History Form through Vax Viewer. The form includes an option to attest that they are not vaccinated and that they understand they may be subject to additional public health protocols should there be a need. - UHC also recommends that new students arrange for a physical exam with their home health care provider before coming to campus.
