MPassport: Error - "You do not currently have an MPassport profile"

Problem

After logging in to MPassport, I see an error "You do not currently have an MPassport profile."

Resolution

This error may be prompted for one of a few reasons:

Relation to U-M Possible Causes Resolution/Next Steps
Incoming student matriculated for a future term (Ann Arbor campus) Your MPassport profile has not yet been created or you have not yet been invited to access the MPassport system Whether you should have access to the MPassport system before your arrival to U-M depends on timing and your admitting unit.

For Rackham students: Rackham Admissions will invite you to MPassport to begin the I-20/DS-2019 request process soon after you matriculate and create your U-M uniqname. All information regarding the timing of this will be communicated to you by email. If you have any questions about the I-20/DS-2019 request process or your access to MPassport, please contact Rackham Admissions.

For most undergraduate students (except School of Information): You will be invited to MPassport 30 days before your program start date. To access your I-20/DS-2019 before then, please log in to the Enrollment Connect system. If you have any questions about your I-20/DS-2019 before your arrival, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. If the program start date on your I-20/DS-2019 is in the next 30 days or has already been reached and you still cannot access MPassport, please wait at least one business day after issuance of your I-20/DS-2019 and then contact the International Center by email for assistance (icenter@umich.edu) if you still do not have access.

For all other incoming students: You will be invited to MPassport once your I-20/DS-2019 has been issued. If you have any questions about the status of your I-20/DS-2019, please contact your admitting unit.
Incoming J-1 scholar (EV category of Professor, Short Term Scholar, or Research Scholar) Your DS-2019 has not yet been issued or you have not yet been invited to access the MPassport system If you received email confirmation that your DS-2019 was issued and is available for download, please contact the International Center by email for assistance (icenter@umich.edu).

If you have not yet received email confirmation that your DS-2019 was issued or if you would like to inquire on the status of DS-2019 issuance, please contact your host department or U-M contact.
Current student or J-1 scholar (Ann Arbor campus) Your uniqname has recently changed; technical issue with the MPassport system Contact the International Center by email for assistance (icenter@umich.edu).
Current or incoming student at UM-Flint or UM-Dearborn MPassport is for students on the Ann Arbor campus only Contact the international office on your campus.
 
U-M Faculty or Staff Access to an MPassport profile is available for U-M students and scholars only If you are a current or incoming international faculty or staff member and need assistance with an employment-based immigration case, please contact the International Center's Faculty and Staff Immigration Services team.
