How often should I request a new mailing/email list?

Because alumni and donor data is dynamic and constantly changing, we ask that you request a new data list each time you plan to reach out to your constituents. If you are using an email campaign platform, getting a fresh list every 90 days is recommended. We recommend submitting your request for data up to two weeks in advance of when you will need it. You may do so by emailing: lsa-advancement-services@umich.edu or submitting a service request on the Advancement Client Portal (by clicking the Services link above).

Contact lists should not be stored for longer than or used after a period of 1 month unless you are using an email campaign platform in which case 90 days is acceptable.
