Kaltura - Using an Embed Code

Get the Embed Code

Among other methods, Kaltura videos can be embedded in Canvas using an embed code.

1. Go to the main MI Video site. If it doesn't show your media, choose Login in the top right and sign in.
2. Click on the video you want to embed.
3. Below the video, click the Share tab and then click the Embed tab.
   
4. Copy the embed code provided.

With the code copied, head over to Canvas.

Embed Video in Canvas

A video embed code can be used almost anywhere in Canvas where you have a text box (Pages, Discussions, Announcements, Assignments, etc.).

1. On the edit screen for a page, discussion, announcement, or quiz question, click the HTML editor icon (looks like </>) in the bottom right corner below the text box.
   
2. Paste the embed code you copied in the previous section.
   
3. Click Save or Update Question depending on where you are embedding the video.
