Enable Downloads

 

In order to download a Kaltura video, you must first enable downloads for it.

Note: Only the owner or a co-editor of the media can enable downloads. Once enabled, any user with access to the video can download it.

  1. Go to My Media in Canvas.
  2. Click the pencil icon (Edit) to the right of the video you want to share.

  3. On the next screen, click the Downloads tab below the video.

  4. You will see a list of available formats. Check the box next to Original Source, and click Save.

Downloads will then be available for the video.

Download a Video

 

Once downloads are enabled for a video, you can proceed with downloading the file.

  1. Go to My Media in Canvas, or navigate to the location where the video is published.
  2. Click on the video you would like to download.
  3. Below the video, click the Download tab.

  4. A list of available downloads will appear. Click the download icon in the Actions column of the table to download the file to your computer.
