Resolution

Adding Protection on Excel Files

  1. Open the Excel file you want to protect.
  2. Click on the 'File' tab.
  3. Click on 'Info'.
  4. Click on 'Protect Workbook'.
  5. Choose 'Encrypt with Password'.
  6. Enter a password and click 'OK'.
  7. Re-enter the password to confirm it and click 'OK'.

Now, your Excel file is protected with a password and cannot be opened without entering the correct password.

Note: Ensure the password is securely recorded or stored. NO options are available for resetting or recovering the password.

Removing Protection on Excel Files

  1. Open the Excel file you want to Unprotect.
  2. Click on the 'File' tab.
  3. Click on 'Info'.
  4. Click on 'Protect Workbook'.
  5. Choose 'Encrypt with Password'.
  6. Clear the password and click 'OK'.
