Recovering a Forgotten Personal Google Account Email Address

Issue

I have forgotten my personal (non-UM) Google account email address but remember my password and need to recover my account.

Resolution

Follow these steps to recover your Google account:

  1. Go to Google's Find My Email page.
  2. Enter your recovery email or phone number in the text box and click Next.
  3. Enter your first and last name in the appropriate text boxes and click Next.
  4. Click Send to receive a verification code to the recovery email or phone number.
  5. Check your recovery email inbox or phone messages for the verification code.
    1. Enter the code in the text box and click Next.
  6. Google will display a list of accounts associated with the recovery email or phone number.
    1. Click on the account you want to recover.
  7. Enter your password in the text box and click Next.
    1. You may need to verify your identity if you've enabled two-step verification.
