Resolution

Hide a Calendar Temporarily

This is a good option for calendars that you only check occasionally.

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. On the left, find the calendar you want to hide. It may be under "My calendars" or "Other calendars."
  3. Click the calendar to hide or show it.

Remove a Calendar from your List Temporarily

When you remove a calendar from your list, you won't see it under "My calendars" or "Other calendars."

Remove a calendar

  2. On the left, find the calendar you want to remove. It may be under "My calendars" or "Other calendars."

When you unsubscribe from a calendar, you won't be able to see it again unless there's another owner of the calendar who can re-share it with you.

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. In the top right, click Settings > Settings.
  3. In the left column, select the calendar you want to remove.

  5. Click Unsubscribe.
  6. Click Remove calendar.

Restore a Calendar You Unsubscribed From

Whether you'll be able to get back the calendar you unsubscribed from depends on whether the calendar is owned by or shared with someone else.

The calendar is owned by someone else

If the calendar you unsubscribed from belongs to someone else, you can ask them to share their calendar with you again.

The calendar is owned by you and was not shared

Unfortunately, you won't be able to restore the calendar you unsubscribed from. In the future, try removing the calendar from your list instead.

The calendar is owned by you and shared with someone else

If someone else still has access to the calendar you owned, you can ask them to find the Calendar Address. You can use that address to add the calendar back to your account.

Step 1: Ask the other person to follow these steps
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. In the top right, click Settings > Settings.
  3. In the left column, find the shared calendar you want to restore.
  4. Click the name of the calendar.
  5. Scroll down to the "Integrate calendar" section, and click the Secret or Public iCal address.
  6. Copy the link and send it to you.
Step 2: Follow these steps
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. In the top right, click Settings > Settings.
  3. On the left, click Add calendar > From URL.
  4. Paste the Calendar Address link you received from the other person in the URL field.
  5. Click Add Calendar. You should see the calendar listed on the left side of Google Calendar.
